Meeting and Assisting Cinematographer Russell Carpenter in Cebu, Philippines
On a chilly, rain-soaked night in Cebu, I had the incredible opportunity to meet and assist the legendary Russell Carpenter, the renowned cinematographer and producer behind some of the most iconic films in cinematic history. Known for his brilliant work on Titanic (1997), Avatar: The Way of Water (2022), and Ant-Man (2015), Carpenter’s creative genius has shaped the visual storytelling of modern cinema.
Being part of his film shoot preparation in Cebu was nothing short of inspiring. Witnessing his meticulous attention to detail and creative vision firsthand offered a rare glimpse into the mind of a master visual storyteller. Despite the rain, the atmosphere was filled with anticipation and creative energy, as Carpenter’s team meticulously prepared for the project.
The experience was a remarkable blend of artistry and professionalism, reflecting the dedication required to bring cinematic visions to life. It was a privilege to contribute in a small way to the preparation process and engage with a filmmaker whose work has left an indelible mark on the industry. This unforgettable encounter not only highlighted Carpenter’s creative brilliance but also underscored the growing appeal of Cebu as a premier location for international film productions.

Hoka Trilogy Leg 1 – A Thrilling Marathon Event at CCLEX
The Hoka Trilogy Leg 1 has officially been accomplished, marking an exciting milestone in the two-year partnership between CCLEX and Run Rio Inc. It was a privilege to share this moment with Rio de la Cruz, the founder and CEO of Run Rio Inc., and the head of Hoka, as we celebrated the success of the first leg of this dynamic marathon series.
The event, held at the scenic CCLEX, brought together hundreds of passionate runners for an unforgettable experience of endurance and camaraderie. Seeing the marathon come to life was particularly rewarding, as it represented the realization of the 10M contract I closed with the Run Rio team—a partnership aimed at making CCLEX a premier destination for large-scale sporting events.
The energy and excitement of Leg 1 set the perfect tone for the next phases of the trilogy. With Legs 2 and 3 on the horizon, I am looking forward to witnessing more incredible performances, inspiring stories of determination, and the vibrant running community coming together once again. Thank you to Rio, the Hoka team, and all the participants for making this event a phenomenal success—I’m excited for the next thrilling chapters of the Hoka Trilogy at CCLEX!

On January 25, 2023, I had the pleasure of attending the Lalamove Fun Fair held at Oakridge Business Park—a vibrant celebration of community, collaboration, and innovation. This event was particularly special as it marked the successful execution of the branding and advertising project I closed with Lalamove—a contract deal worth 2.5 million. Witnessing the impact of this collaboration firsthand was incredibly fulfilling, as it showcased Lalamove’s strengthened brand presence and engagement with its partners and clients.
I was honored to share the moment with Lalamove Country Manager, Mr. Nelson Judaya, whose leadership and vision have played a key role in driving the company’s growth and industry influence. The event brought together Lalamove’s dedicated partners, clients, and team members for a day filled with engaging activities and meaningful connections, highlighting the company’s commitment to service excellence.
The Lalafun Day experience was a perfect blend of fun and purpose, featuring interactive booths, exciting games, and networking opportunities. The event brought together industry leaders, business professionals, and key stakeholders, offering a valuable platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and fostering stronger business ties within the local community.
